Laminated glass is a multifunctional glazing material that can be used in a variety of applications. It is manufactured by permanently bonding two or more lites of glass with layers of polyvinyl butyral (PVB) interlayer, under heat and pressure, to create a single construction. If broken by impact, laminated glass tends to maintain the building envelope by remaining integral in its frame. This minimizes the risk of injury from sharp edges and flying or falling glass particles. It also strongly resists penetration of impacting objects.
Lami Glass is a division of Hartung Glass Industries. Because of this union, Hartung has the ability to laminate almost any type of glass. We can provide safety glass and bullet resistant glass for many applications. Hartung offers both Laminated glass and Glass Clad Polycarbonate products.
